Limerick GAA regret to announce the death of Denis Holmes.

Denis has been involved in Gaelic Games in Limerick for a long number of years and had a love for hurling and football in equal measures.
Denis held a number of various roles in Limerick GAA and served as Chairman of the Limerick Football Board from 2003 to 2005 and was chairman during one of the most successful spells in Limerick football memories.
Denis also held the role of Chairman of Limerick County Board from 2005-2007 and was Central Council Delegate for Limerick County Board from 2015-2019 where he was also part of the central council management committee in Croke Park.
Denis served in many committees al County, Provincial and National level and was current Coaching and Games Officer at Limerick County Board up to his passing last night.
Denis has left a lifetimes legacy to Limerick GAA and his sad passing will be felt by many who he served with and served for in his years.

Funeral arrangements
Reposing at Whelan’s Funeral Home, Bansha Road, Tipperary Town, this Sunday evening, March 27th 2022, from 5pm to 7pm. Mass for Denis will take place at 2.30pm in The Church of The Sacred Heart, Oola, Co. Limerick, on Monday, March 28th 2022, and burial afterwards in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Oola.
