Limerick GAA are delighted to announce the continued support of Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons for the Limerick GAA and the County Senior Hurling Club Championship.
Representatives from the participating clubs recently gathered at Bon Secours Hospital at George’s Quay, including Kevin Downes from Na Piarsaigh, the reigning 2022 County Senior Hurling Club Champions.

The County Senior Hurling Club Championship kicks off on August 4th with action in groups 1 & 2, using the round-robin format. This will be followed by the knockout stages, culminating in the final at TUS Gaelic Grounds in the Autumn, where the last two teams will vie for the prestigious Daly Cup. The Daly Cup, presented to the County Board in 1928 by Madge Daly, stands as the most coveted piece of silverware in Limerick Hurling.

During a recent launch event, the Chairman of Limerick GAA, Seamus McNamara, expressed his excitement for the upcoming championship, stating:

“On behalf of Limerick County Board, I express our heartfelt gratitude to the Bon Secours Hospital for their unwavering support and sponsorship of our Senior Hurling Championship. It is with immense appreciation that we acknowledge the presence of Sarah O’Sullivan, Interim CEO, and Jill Mullins of the Bon Secours Hospital. Their kindness and generosity have made a significant impact, and we are truly grateful.

As the championship commences, I extend my best wishes to all the participating teams. It was heartening to witness the enthusiastic representation of every Club on the event night, and for that, I extend a big thank you to everyone involved.

This week has been a remarkable one for Limerick Hurling, and I am confident that the championship will prove to be an exciting and memorable spectacle. Once again, thank you to the Bon Secours Hospital and everyone who contributed to making this event possible. Here’s to a thrilling championship”

At the same event, Sarah O’Sullivan, Hospital CEO at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick, shared her enthusiasm, saying:
