Limerick considering Munster League exclusion
October 05, 2018

Limerick may not take part in the 2019 Munster Hurling League due to the fact that the squad will be on holidays when the competition starts.

If, as expected the Munster SHL starts on the same dates as it did this year then, Limerick will be on their team holiday.

The All-Ireland champions are due to fly out of Shannon on December 27th and are not due back until January 7th.

The Munster Council are set to meet at the end of November to decide on the fixtures for the early season competition, but it is expected to start at the end of December, first week of January.

This would mean that Limerick would miss the opening round or possibly two. As defending champions and regular participants in the provincial competition, Limerick have a decision to make in the coming weeks.
