GAA Field:
Thanks so much to all the people that turned out this evening to help complete some very important landscaping work at the pitch. Everything looks fabulous now along the edge of the walkway with seed to be planted later this week. We had a huge response, with great enthusiasm from everyone, massive community spirit on show, thanks again everyone!

Premier Junior Hurling:
Well done to our Premier Junior Hurling team who had a very hard fought victory last Friday evening in an outstanding game of hurling with Monaleen, reaching the county semi final in two weeks time.
It was end to end for long stages with the City men firing a goal in with minutes remaining to take the lead. Our boys showed great character to battle against the clock to tie up the game and send it to extra time.
Early scores in extra time saw us extend our lead, one we would not relinquish despite a titanic battle all the way to the final whistle.

Well done lads:
We play the county semi final on Sunday, October 5th, fixture to be confirmed early next week.

Sympathies:
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to the Wall family, Tiernahilla on the passing of David (Daithi) Wal.
Daithi made significant contributions to the GAA through his life both on and off the field.
During 1960’s Daithi served as Chairperson of Knockaderry GAA club, while also being part of the team that won western glory in the junior hurling championships of 1967.
Earlier in his career, he had won a county senior hurling championship with Feenagh Kilmeedy in 1963, lining out between the posts. He also played with St Kierans, a representational team from West Limerick, on the losing side of the 1965 county senior hurling final, to Patrickswell.
Daithi held a keen interest in many sports all of his life and always kept in touch with the happenings in the sporting world both locally, nationally and internationally, a man of great knowledge. We extend our sympathies to his wife Brid, children Sinead and Richard and the wider Wall family. May the gentle soul of Daithi Rest in Peace.
