Sympathies:
The club would like to extend its deepest sympathies to Downes family, Ahalin on the passing of Mary’s brother, Dennie Shiels of Moanrue, brother in law to David, uncle to Michael, Bridget and Patrick.
Dennie was a great supporter of the club through our many fundraising initiatives and was a regular player of our weekly lotto while also taking a keen interest in the progress of our teams. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Downes & Shiels family at this time. May Dennie rest in heavenly peace
The club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Hartigan and Duffy families on the passing of Alice, of Knockaderry village. Mother to Donal and Robert and Margaret Duffy. Alice was a lady who always had a smile on her face, she will be greatly missed by one and all in our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with her large family at this difficult time.
Bucket Collection:
We are so thankful to everyone who helped with the Bucket collection on Friday last, it was great to see so many enthusiastic volunteers help right throughout the day.
We never had as much help as this time and it shows how important each person is holding a bucket on a day like last Friday.
Again, I reiterate the thanks of the club for the help from everyone, it just shows the power that is within our community.
