Paddy Mc Mahon RIP and Paddy Lyons RIP Stalwarts of Knockaderry GAA
Knockaderry GAA lost two great stalwarts of the Club within the last week, Paddy Mc Mahon RIP and Paddy Lyons RIP. Both were players and held various rolls within Club through out the years. The tradition of hurling continues in their grandsons who play at different grades within the Club.
Paddy Mc Mahon late of Ballynoe was an integral part of Knockaderry GAA as a player, committee member, volunteer and in various management roles and in recent years a proud supporter of our various teams. Paddy will be remembered best in his role in the Management of our victorious Junior Football teams of 1988 and 1999 but was also one of the more influential figures behind various grades in both hurling and football down through the decades. He was also a member of the victorious 1967 West Junior Hurling team. Paddy was a true Gael!
Knockaderry GAA offers its sincere sympathy to his wife Rita, sons Brian. Paul, Antony and Kevin and daughters Margaret, Mary Ann and Yvonne and the extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
Paddy Lyons late of Ahalin also played an important role in Knockaderry GAA in years gone by. Paddy was a reliable full back during his playing days and played a strong role in the 1967 West Junior Hurling Team. He held various club roles over the decades including Club Treasurer and up to recently Club Trustee and was very much part of Knockaderry Clouncagh Community activities.

The Knockaderry GAA Annual General Meeting takes place on Saturday, November 27th time and venue TBC.
NOVEMEBER CLOUNCAGH/KNOCKADERRY COMBINED PARISH DRAW
The final Combined Parish Draw for 2021 takes place tomorrow Thursday November 4th. All outstanding subscriptions to be given to your Promoter, Mary Collum or Margaret Bridgeman ASAP. Thank you to all for supporting this fundraiser for which 100% of all collected goes to The GAA, Camogie, Community Council and Ahalin NS Parents Association.
