Premier Junior A Football County ¼ Final:
Kilteely Dromkeen 0.09 – 0.10 Fr. Casey’s 23rd September.
Last Thursday night we made the trip back to Rathkeale for this Football County ¼ final clash. Unfortunately, it was not to be on the night for our lads. The swift turnaround after 3 weekends of Hurling did bring its own challenges but, on another day, we may have come out the other side of this tight contest. After taking an early lead, the first ¼ was nip and tuck. A very strong 2nd ¼ with some fine scoring from Richie McAuliffe and Denis O’Dea had us 6 points to 4 up at half time. With the wind picking up Fr. Caseys made full use of it, picking off some fine scores of their own. A frustrating 3rd ¼ had us trailing 7-6. Unfortunately, their purple patch continued, and we were 4 points down with 10 minutes left. A strong finish brought us back to within a point but unfortunately time ran out. A very tough defeat to take on the night. Thanks to all supporters who attended and the management team.

Lads and Dads:
Well done to our Dads & Lads Social GAA group who made the journey to Killeedy GAA this morning for their first ever game. This was also the very first event of its kind in Limerick for this initiative! Despite the conditions, a wonderful high scoring game of football was played, with our lads getting the spoils in the end. Kilteely Dromkeen: 6-7 (25) Killeedy: 5-5 (20)
Fair play to Killeedy Gaa for hosting us and promoting the game. We look forward to the next day out. If you would like to join the group for future sessions and blitzes please contact any club member. No previous playing experience even required 💪
