U10 Hurling and Football:
2 kilmallock teams took to the fields in the veld of Kilbeheny where Galtee gaels hosted a fantastic blitz with ourselves and Knockainey. Our boys took to the unfamiliar game of football where their passing, skill and kicking ability was a joy to behold. These young men play football with a lovely freedom where their natural instinct shines though our players who braved the mountains were Jamie Flynn, Fionn O’Shaughessy, Harry and Charlie Kiely, Caleb O’Riordan, Fionn and Rian Freeney, Ollie and Rory Tobin, Max Goodchild, Eoin Barrett, Kai Mulcahy, Noah O’Mahoney well done to each and all.

Our U10’S had a hurling blitz over in:
Martinstown with Coshlea Gaels and Ballyagran having teams both our teams hurled excellently, frequently passing the ball to each other when working good scores. Another good outing by our boys who continue to improve every game Rian Manning, Eoin Barrett, Kai Mulcahy, Fionn O’Dwyer, Harry and Charlie Kiely, Ollie Tobin, Fionn Freeney, was one team with Arthur and Chris Noonan, Noah O’Mahoney, Max Goodchild, Rian Freeney, Fionn O’Shaughnessy, Jamie Flynn and Calabria O’Riordan being the other

Scoil Mocheallóg:
Jubilant scenes in Bruff today as our boys hurling team won the Premier South title. The game was fierce and only two points separated the teams at half time. After the restart our boys continued to display all the skills of the game, hooking and blocking and fighting for the ball. With ten minutes remaining Pauric Connery struck again and again and yes again to finish with five goals. There were incredible performances from all over the field with captain fantastic Ben Burke soaring into the air fetching ball after ball. Indeed Ben showed great character today, even playing with an injured finger. Our backs were immense , Ryan Pinto Carey, Kyle, Daragh, James and Danny coming out with ball after ball and mister consistent Ronan Halvey was fabulous at full back . The work rate of our forwards and midfield was a joy to behold and all our panel can go home knowing they did their very best. The final score of 5-6 to 0-7 doesn’t reflect how close this game was. We were all thrilled to see Benny hoist the cup to the delight of his team mates . Scoil Mocheallóg would like to thank all the staff who are involved with team training in our school, John English, Mike Rea and Enda Walsh. We would also like to thank Kilmallock GAA for all their support with matches. Last but not least, the parents for coming to support our team today in great numbers. Thanks too to Scoil Dean Cussen for a great battle and Bruff GAA for the use of their pitch. Many thanks also to Ger Murnane for refereeing. We have now qualified for the county semi final of the Leader cup, the premier competition in schools hurling. We will have confirmation of the time and venue very shortly. Scoil Mocheallóg Abú
