KILLEEDY GAA CLUB NOTES

Killeedy’s health and well-being team. Our club has well surpassed the 4,000kms target to be in the draw for the prize. It started Wednesday 19th January and Killeedy already have 8,118kms clocked and are in 63rd place in Munster (As of Sunday ). It end on Wednesday 23rd February.
Brilliant work by everyone and great to see so many people out and about and participating in this Challenge
‘‘Ireland Lights Up’’ walking campaign returned in January in partnership with the GAA and Operation Transformation to ensure that ‘Ireland Lights Up’ by turning on their floodlights.
The Walkway in Killeedy is open to the general public (non members of GAA /Camogie) on Mondays from 24th (7-8pm)January until Monday 28th February.
Club Members are welcome to use the walkway at any time
On Mondays between 7-8pm members of the Healthy Club Team will be there for registration, to keep track of who is using the facilities

Remember: Anyone is welcome to join Social Membership with Killeedy GAA and you can then avail of the Walkway at any time.
Membership is now open Via Foireann, select Social Membership.

Dads & Lads
Our dads and lads team are invited to a 9-a-side football blitz in Dublin on Saturday April 2nd. Teams are allowed bring up to 15 players on a panel. This promises to be a great day out.If you would like to be involved, please contact Damien on 0878238390. We will have no training this Thursday but will resume on March 3rd in prep for the blitz.
Thursday nights: Ball-Wall session on Thursday nights with a new time of 8:30pm. Any non-player club members are very welcome to join.
We are working towards preparation for a football blitz in April and plenty of players needed.
Junior-B All Ireland Hurling series 2021/2022
Last weekend welcomed back the annual Junior B All Ireland Hurling series to Killeedy. The Munster quarter final between Blackrock(Limerick) and Fourmilewater(Waterford) threw in at 12pm last Saturday. Result of that match was Blackrock 5-11((26) V Fourmilewater 2-4(10).
Saturday 26th Feb – Semi Finals. Venue Raheenagh
Blackrock(Limerick) now play Scariff(Clare) in the first semi-final round next Sunday at 12pm.
Clonoulty/Rossmore(Tipperary) play Belgooly(cork) in the 2nd match of the day at 2pm.
All-Ireland final day is scheduled for April 2nd
Teams participating in this years’ serise are: Galway – Cappataggle, Dublin – St.Pats Palmerstown, Laois – Borris in Ossary/Kilcotton, Wexford – Blackwater, Kilkenny – Dicksboro, Antrim – All Saints Ballymena, Limerick – Blackrock, Waterford – Fourmilewater, Clare – Scriff, Tipperary – Clonoulty/Rossmore, Cork – Belgooly.
