KILLEEDY GAA CLUB NOTES
Dads & Lads
Last Sunday, Killeedy GAA Health & Wellbeing committee played host to the first regional Dads and Lads blitz. Teams from Ardfinnan in Tipperary, plus St Patricks, Kilteely-Dromkeen and Killeedy from Co. Limerick, played three 15minute games of football. The rules were of a backyard style where no referee or management were needed. Players called the fouls themselves and scores were not recorded. It was two hours of fun and social networking. A Hugh thanks must go to Killeedys’ club executive, hospitality and H&W committees for supporting this event. Any past of first-time player is welcome to join the team. To bring on our level of fitness and ‘have the crack’, we will have a ballwall session each Thursday between 8pm and 9pm. If this forum of activity interests you, come on next Thursday to the ballwall. Killeedy Health & Wellbeing would especially like to thank the GAA’s National Health & Wellbeing representative Collette Coady, for attending the blitz and providing support and advice in running such an event. A special thanks also to Munster GAA Chairperson Liam Lenihan for coming along and enjoying the games.
