U15s:
Unfortunately, Killeedy/Tournafulla U15s recorded a second defeat last night after promotion to division 1. For the players it’s disappointing, but it hasn’t been disheartening. The players see the development protentional offered by playing these division 1 teams, and incremental improvements at this level, outlasts individual match results.

GAA for Dads & Lads:
Killeedy have been invited by another ‘Dads and Lads’ club to participate in a football match, in about two weeks.. We are recruiting to fill a team of between 7 and 9 players. Please contact Damien on 087 8238390 if you are interested in playing the game..
It’s just 10minute halves, it’s football, it’s going to be a bit of crack..
The GAA launched their newest initiative ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’, click below for details. ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ is a social hurling and football programme for those keen to enjoy Gaelic Games outside the traditional competitive structures of the GAA. We have included a number of different resources for you below to help promote this initiative;
With an emphasis on the social interaction and enjoyment that only team sports can provide, GAA for Dads & Lads is about keeping fun and participation to the fore of hurling football regardless of age or experience. The games allow incidental contact only (to minimise risk of injury) so skills are to the fore over physicality. So regardless of whether you are a recently retired great, a lapsed player looking to reconnect with the game you once loved, or completely new to Gaelic Games and looking to try your hand at a bit of hurling or football, ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ could be for you.
Rules:
General GAA playing rules apply but all teams must follow the principles of Social Gaelic Games.
Any contact that occurs should be incidental. No aggressive tackling or shoulder charges. Play the ball not the man!
Hurling: Helmets mandatory.
Football: Gumshields mandatory
Games:
20 min games (10 min halves). Roll on, roll off subs. Games are self-governing – players call fouls, line balls and wides. If playing another GAA for Dads & Lads team, agree on playing adaptations in advance (e.g. rotating goalkeeper, 2-touch restrictions, goals only scoring, etc.)
Pitch:
Half size regulation pitch. Smaller than regulation goals if available
Teams:
Adult males – min 7 /max 9 a side. No team management. If numbers are an issue, consider linking with other clubs. Players should not be registered members of a squad competing in official GAA club, league or championship structures.
