U15 Hurling Championship result. Killeedy-Tournafulla (0:08) V Bruff (6:17)
After promotion to the premier division this year, few expected this opening match to be anything other than a serious step up. Bruff came with a game plan, and delivered on it by showcasing skill and intensity. That said, there are positives to take from the home performance. Killeedy facing into the sun, four of the goals were drilled in before the first water break.. In the subsequent quarters, Killeedy displayed heart and got back into the game. In the second half, Killeedy scored 4 points to Bruffs’ 7 points. Summary, the damage done in a cold-shock first 15 minutes..

Killeedy GAA & Camogie Club to receive a brand new, state-of-the-art AED / Defibrillator:
The GAA are participating in the Community Heart Program to assist in raising the funds required to enable the placement and upgrade of existing AED’s, or automated external defibrillators, in every Club. THANKS TO ALL WHO HELP FUNDRAISE FOR THIS INITIATIVE
#KeepWellKeepWalking:
6 week Walking Initiative with Get Ireland Walking, Sport Ireland, Healthy Ireland and sporting organisation such as GAA finished on Jube 16th. Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy Club Project want to thank people for getting involved.
GAA for Dads & Lads:
Last week we launched our newest initiative ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ , click here for details. ‘GAA for Dads & Lads’ is a social hurling and football programme for those keen to enjoy Gaelic Games outside the traditional competitive structures of the GAA. Healthy Club Officer Training:
Healthy Club Officer Training available to all clubs via Microsoft Teams on July 7th @ 7pm. Registration via the following link is required https://learning.gaa.ie/officertrainingcalendar. The training will outline the steps involved in becoming a Healthy Club with some impressive club case studies to bring it to life. This training will be essential for clubs who are interested in applying for the next phase of the Healthy Club Project (recruitment will start in October 2021). Clubs already participating in the project do not need to attend but are welcome if they want a refresher and/or have new team members who have not received training yet.
Youth Mental Health 1st Aid:
We are delighted to let you know that we are offering a Youth Mental Health First Aid course next week on 23-24 June 2021. This course is fully funded through our partnership with the HSE and will take place over Zoom from 9am to 4pm each day; attendance for the full duration is required.
