Registration for Players & Social Members for 2021
Hopefully we will all be able to return to the training pitch soon. With this in mind, the GAA requests that all members are registered for the season ahead. The registration process will be completed online this year. The Return to Play on our phones that we all became so familiar with last year is now known as Foireann. Foireann has many features, one of which includes registration of members. Please follow the instructions as shared with all the parents through the various forums.
Mental Health Questionnaire
The GAA and its official mental health partner Samaritans are conducting a short questionnaire to gather some information on what mental health activities have been rolled out in Healthy Clubs and to see what other supports our Healthy Clubs would like in the area of mental health and emotional wellbeing. This will help us in future development endeavours: Mental Health Questionnaire (office.com)
Men’s Health Webinar
Please see attached promotion for a Men’s Health Webinar taking place on Wednesday March 31st, hosted by the Southern Area Men’s Health Steering Group but beneficial to all. It will be delivered via Zoom, and is free to attend.
Support for Grieving
The Irish Hospice Foundation have developed a free bereavement resource pack is for anyone grieving in these very difficult times. It includes advice on coping with grief, funerals in exceptional times and supporting children/young people. It can be downloaded here: https://hospicefoundation.ie/…/Support-for-Grieving-in…
Virtual Life Skills Programme
Aware are now offering their Life Skills programme a virtual group setting, using Zoom. Based on the principles of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), the Life Skills programme is designed to help people learn more about how we think and how this can influence our actions in helpful or unhelpful ways. The Life Skills Group Programme is delivered over the course of six weeks in 90 minute evening sessions. With the help of a series of easy-to-follow booklets and expert guidance from a trained facilitator at each session, you can learn how to better manage the stress of everyday life, recognise and manage unhelpful thoughts, learn new ways of thinking and ultimately begin the journey to a healthier and more confident life. Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stakes 2021
Killeedy’s nominated dog this year is Singalong Sally. The English owner bitch is trained by Pat Buckley, tipped to win right up to the green light last Saturday night, she didn’t disappoint, she flew home in 1st place in a time of 28:32.
Next Saturday she is in Race 8(approx 9.25pm).
Killeedy GAA & BNG would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to JP & Norman McManus for sponsoring this fantastic competition for giving the GAA clubs around Limerick the opportunity to win some fantastic prizes. Well done also to Limerick GAA & Limerick Greyhound Stadium for the fantastic work that’s put in each year in organising this event & finally this year everyone can see all races live from their sitting rooms on Talking Dogs TV, log on and pay a subscription of €10 for a great nights entertainment.
Best Wishes……
From all at Killeedy GAA & BNG we wish you and yours a Happy Easter. Beannachtaí na Cásca oraibh go léir.
