Killeedy Healthy Club All Stars:
The newly formed Killeedy Healthy Club All Stars held a taster session on Saturday 25th November. The aim of this initiative is to offer an inclusive, diverse & welcoming environment for everyone. The objective is to include children that for one reason or another could not take part in a typical team-based game.
The children who attended on Saturday enjoyed the fun and games. Thanks to all the volunteers, young and old who helped out. Killeedy Healthy Club All Stars will start up in early Spring and will run for a number of Saturdays with the maximum of 6 children (no more spaces available at present) who will get 1:1 support. Please email lauraahern83@hotmail.com or contact Laura 087 7760482 to be placed on a waiting list, if a space becomes available.

‘Ireland Lights Up’ 2024:
The hugely popular ‘Ireland Lights Up’ walking initiative returned in January 2024, in partnership, RTE’s Operation Transformation, and Get Ireland Walking. GAA clubs across the 32 counties will once more ensure ‘Ireland Lights Up’ by turning on their floodlights and hosting community walking groups during the broadcast period of the hit RTÉ show.
Killeedy GAA & Camogie Healthy Club will started ‘Ireland Lights Up’ 2024 on Wednesday, January 10th, this will continue for 4 more weeks on the walkway( weather permitting). Last Wednesday was cancelled due to frost. The aim is to make exercise more accessible on the dark winter nights and to offer local communities an opportunity to get together and socialize in a healthy way.
