CLUB DEVELOPMENT: Our Club Development Committee are delighted to announce that we received full planning permission for the development a 25m Training Wall, complete with a 675m2 enclosed Astroturf Training Area and Floodlighting
.
This is a significant milestone, not only for this particular project, but for the future of the club as it will provide our club members with an all-year-round much-needed all-weather training facility. This will help develop the skills in hurling, camogie and Gaelic football from our most junior to our adult teams as well as allowing our non-playing members an area to exercise.
The proposed new training facility will be located at our Pallaskenry grounds. It is hoped that construction on this facility will commence later in 2021 and the next phase of the project will focus on fundraising, sponsorship and securing grant funding. With that in mind, every household in the parishes of Kildimo and Pallaskenry will soon receive an information booklet on how you can lend your support to this project, providing club members and the wider community an opportunity to purchase a nameplate on our proposed appreciation wall and also provide options for local business to advertise in designated areas of the new facility.
In addition, we are launching a Go Fund Me page (link below), which will allow our club members, community and patrons far and wide to straight away support this project and our goals of getting it started in 2021. Within this you will also find a link to our Club Development Plan Brochure. Our Go Fund Me Page is only for persons who wish to avail of Option 4 on the brochure in way of support: https://www.gofundme.com/…/training-facilities…
