Jim O’Brien Memorial Tournament says Thanks:

Bruree GAA Club, would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in the club, parish and county for their support of the Jim O’Brien Memorial Tournament on Saturday last. It was great to see such a crowd at our facility and we were blessed with the weather. The day ran smoothly and that was down to everyone’s hard work in the lead up to the day, be that with pitch prep, fence painting, gazebo and flags, parking, BBQ and shop prep to name a few. The place looked amazing so thanks to everyone who played a part in the running of the day.

Big thanks to Croom and Cappamore GAA clubs for their support and generosity on the day, which is greatly appreciated! Big thanks and congratulations to our own intermediates also, who represented the club brilliantly on the day to become the maiden winners of the tournament.

Special mention must go to our own U10 group also, who produced an excellent standard of hurling in the lead up to the final, which was great to see! The future in Bruree is certainly bright!

Big thanks and best of luck to Johnny Murphy who takes charge of this weekends All Ireland Hurling Final between Cork and Clare. Johnny generously gave his time to us for this tournament and we appreciate it immensely. Thanks to our umpires and lines people also who ably assisted Johnny at the weekend also!

Big thanks to the O’Brien Family for their support of this event and we hope the day was a fitting tribute for Jim.

The preliminary figure received for Milford Care Centre so far is *€3,126.65* which is an amazing amount so thanks to everyone for their generosity! We are going to leave donations open until Friday of this week, so if any person or club would like to make a donation, you can do so by contacting any member of the Bruree GAA committee or by Revolut to this number: 083-8953481.
