Applications for a place in the Gaeltacht 2020 is now open. Please contact Geraldine O’Donoghue or Des Hanly to apply or if you have any queries.

Ireland Light’s Up:

Another great walk on Wednesday 29th January 2020, 132 took part. Thanks to the stewards, John the Baptist Secondary School for the facilities and to Hospital Walking Group for their guidance. What great way to catch-up with friends and also make new ones along the way. Walk at your own pace. Suitable for all fitness levels and ages. See you Wednesday 5th February 2020 and every Wednesday until the 26th February. Registration is at 7pm in Church Car Park, don’t forget to bring a friend and your hi-vis. Also well done to all who took part in the Herbertstown walk on Saturday 1st February 2020.

Referee Course:

The Level 1 Foundation course for new referees will now take place on March 2nd, 4th & 9th with the final session on Saturday 4th April in Croke Park where Certificates of Qualification will be presented by Uachtaráin CLG John Horan.

Best of luck to Herbertstown NS who is shortlisted in Category 4, Promotion of Gaelic Games and Culture and category 6, Small School of the Year. The entry in category 4 was in the form of a video and the category 6 entry was in book format. Well done to all the pupils and staff in the school for all their hard work on the projects and their continuing support of Gaelic Games. The winners will be announced at a banquet in Thurles on Friday March 6th.
