Club Limerick Draw 2024:
The next Club Limerick Draw for 2024 will be at the end of November. You can join at any time. When you support the #CLUBLkDraw, you are supporting your local GAA club as half of your money goes to your nominated club. The purpose of the Club Limerick draw is to provide funding for our footballers and hurlers training fund from Minor to Senior grades. Please contact club officials for details. It can also be done online through the Limerick GAA website adding Hospital/Herbertstown as your club. Congratulations to David Hartnett who won €500 in the October draw.
AGM:
Our 2024 Club AGM will take place in the clubhouse at 8pm this Friday 29th of November.
Ahead of The Game:
The club held an excellent programme this month “Ahead of the Game” which was organised by our healthy club officer Jackie Leddin. The programme is an evidence based programme for players parents and coaches. The programme consisted of a workshop for our under 14s followed by a workshop where the parents of Under 14 coaches from HH and coaches from St. Brigids attended. It was presented brilliantly by Carol O Leary with Clare GAA Football & Camogie and Mary Kate Lynch with Meath GAA Football.
The Ahead of the Game is a youth mental health program targeted at u14s in the first phase, which teaches players, parents, coaches, and volunteers to understand mental health, build mental fitness and strengthen resilience. Players learn how to deal with challenges in both sport and life in general.
A fantastic initiative and many thanks to all that attended and to St John the Baptist for the use of the facilities on the night.
