There is no U-6,8,10,12 training this week as our cul camp takes place.
U10 Regional Football Blitz in John the Baptist secondary school on Friday 12th July.
U12 Football match on Thursday 11th July v Mungret in Mungret at 6.45
U16 Football on Monday 8th July v Oola in Oola at 7pm
U14
Last week we played Ahane in our final championship group stage match in Hospital. A vital match as defeat for either side meant exit from this year’s championship. Although we had a lot of possession in the first 10 minutes we didn’t transfer this on the scoreline but a few positional changes made all the difference and we scored 2 quick goals just before half time. We eventually ran out winners on a scoreline of 7-11 to 2-4. We have now qualified for the Shield Semi-Final which will be played in September.
Next up is a challenge game versus Emly Sean Treacys Sunday evening 7th July in Emly at 7 o’clock.
Training continues Wednesdays and Fridays.
U12 Our U12 hurling team travelled to Na Pairsaigh GAA grounds on Thursday in round 5 of County Hurling League. In very warm conditions our lads started well and went into an early lead after 10 mins 1-1 to no score. Na Pairsaigh then started to get a few scores and pegged us back before taking the lead. Our lads worked well and fought hard and their work paid off scoring another very well taken goal. We went into the half time break leading by 1 pt. The second half started at great speed again with some great hurling from both side. Na Pairsaigh scored some lovely points to take the lead but again our lads fought back and heading into the last 2 minutes of game we were 3 points down. Then we had a great goal chance but the Na Pairsaigh goalie made a super save. Unfortunately Na Pairsaigh score 2 quick fire goals in injury time. Well done to all our lads on a great display. Great thanks to Na Pairsaigh for hosting us. Also the panel would like to thank Na Pairsaigh’s U12 coach limerick hurling star Peter Casey for his encouraging words to our players after game. Cul Camp
Starts Monday, July 8th.
All online bookings will receive their cul camp gear on the Tuesday of camp.
Anyone booking on 1st day of camp will receive their gear on Thursday.
Also this year on Wednesday there will be a lady at the field putting initials on any cul camp gear for €3.50 per item.
