Our under 13s who defeated Doon in the division one hurling championship. These young hurlers have had a great run in this championship. Drawing with Kilmallock, beating Doon and were beaten by Ahane by a single point and Ballybrown. Unfortunately this wasn’t enough to make the semi- final spot. There wasn’t a puck of a ball between any team and the matches were very exciting with great skills on display. It was their first time competing in division one hurling and have done themselves and our club proud.
Under 13 coaches would like to thank the parents for their support. Some parents even bringing players back from holidays for matches Well done everyone. Definitely better days to come
Our Under 15s played great game of hurling Monday evening and defeated a very strong and competitive Croagh Kilfinny outfit. This sees them through to the County Shield Final where they will meet Patrickswell. Date to be confirmed
Féile 2021 – Our Under 15 Hurlers played 2 matches on Friday evening last as the Féíle weekend took off. They were slow to start in their first game and Knockainey ran out comfortable winners. The second game saw a closely contested match against Killacolla Gaels which saw Hospital Herbertstown come out on top and finally Knockainey met Killacolla Gaels in the 3rd game with Killacolla Gaels winning this game. All three teams won one of their games with Knockainey advancing to the next stage on scoring difference.
