Fixtures. U17 Football Championship away to Galtee Gaels Wed Sept 7th 6.30pm. County Intermediate Hurling Championship H/H vs Knockaderry in Kilmallock Sept 11th 6pm.
Under 15 Hurling. Well done to our U15 hurlers who put in a fantastic display to beat Garryspillane 5.14 to 3.07 in the Division 2 Shield semi final on Saturday morning at St Johns Park. The lads got off to a slow start being 5pts behind early on but started to get a grip on the game to lead 3.06 to 1.04 at halftime. A blistering start to the 2nd half saw the lads get a quick 3 points and they controlled the game from there. Well done to the players & management and best of luck vs Ballybrown in the final which will be played in the coming weeks.
Intermediate Hurling. Hard luck to our Intermediate Hurlers who lost out to Croagh/Kilfinny by 0.18 to 0.14 in the 3rd round of the championship on Sunday evening in Fedamore. In a game of 2 halves dictated by the wind we found ourselves starting off under huge pressure and we were well behind by 0.12 to 0.02 at the break. The lads gave a huge battling performance in the 2d half but unfortunately could not get close enough to get a result. All is not lost though as we have it in our own hands to qualify out of the group. Team: Diarmuid Quirke, Killian Real, Aaron Murphy, John Riordan, Tadgh Leddin, Oisin O Grady, Killian O Shea, Michael Whelan, Adrian Canty, Mark Deegan, Conor O Grady, Sean Deegan, Harry Fox, John Fitzgerald, Dylan O Connor.. Subs Used: Michael Leddin, Mikey Bob Ryan & Darragh O Sullivan.
