WE WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE ADVICE FROM THE VARIOUS GOVERNMENT DEPTS, HSE AND CENTRAL COUNCIL CLG AND WE WILL PROVIDE UPDATES WHEN MADE AVAILABLE.

The ‘Limerick COVID19 Community Response’ has a co-ordinated centre at the Limerick GAA Headquarters in Castletroy where volunteer staff are dealing with calls from people seeking assistance with daily needs on a dedicated helpline 1800-832-005 or you can contact them by email: covidsupport@limerick.ie

The Centre can provide access to a range of services including Collection and delivery of food, essential household items, fuel, medications in line with HSE guidelines, Social Isolation supports, Garda related issues, other medical/health needs. The Centre is open 7 days a week from 8am to 6pm The day to day management of the Limerick Covid 19 Community Response is being led by Limerick City an County Council in conjunction with An Garda Siochana. Those wishing to volunteer can contact volunteer@limerick.ie

Club Limerick Draw

CLUB Limerick Draw 2020 will commence on Saturday 6th June 2020.

The Draw is vital to the financial wellbeing of our county together with providing a financial platform to our clubs. 50% of all membership goes directly to your local club.

Funding from the CLUB Limerick draw provides clubs with the support to fund the day to day running cost of clubs, their facilities/equipment which enable all members to enjoy our sports in a safe environment. You can win/share in a Top Prize €10,000 each month with an Exclusive Star Prize together with 29 Other Cash Prizes. GAA and TILDA host ‘How to Age Well’ webinar featuring Mícheal Ó Muircheartaigh

The live, supported by Irish Life, event will feature evidence and anecdotes revealing the secrets of a long and happy life. Those in the GAA missing the unmistakable tones and tales of Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh are in for a treat next Tuesday 19th of May 6.30-7.30pm when the broadcasting legend contributes to a special webinar on wellbeing on the topic of ‘How to Age Well’.

The event is part of a series of wellbeing-focused webinars delivered by the GAA’s Community & Health department during the Covid-19 emergency. The latest instalment features a partnership with Trinity College’s and will include a presentation and contributions by Prof Rose Anne Kenny, lead researcher on the TILDA project (the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing). Both the GAA’s Healthy Club Project and TILDA benefit from CSR support from Irish Life.
