GAA President John Horan is “confident” that all inter-county and club competitions will be run off this year if competitions can “get going in May”.

Horan – whose term as President will end at this weekend’s Annual Congress – discussed the implications of the Government’s latest national roadmap on RTE’s Radio 1’s Today with Claire Byrne and adopted an upbeat tone.

“The GAA will function and will function fully if we get inter-county games going on the 5th of May,” he stated.
