Emma Crosby Hits the €10,800 Jackpot:

Hearty congratulations to Emma Crosby, Derryclough, Ballingarry, promoter online, on winning the €10,800 jackpot in the club’s GAA lottery on Saturday 22nd July in the Rock Bar, Granagh. The numbers drawn were 8, 10, 23 and 27. Emma is the first winner of the jackpot since former player Peter Dunworth, Kilmihill, Ballingarry won €18,600 on 4th June.
The lottery reverts to €5,000 on Saturday 29th July and the draw will take place in Denny A’s Bar, Ballingarry. You can purchase a ticket for 2 or three for 5 and these are on sale in local shops, bars and from promoters. You can also play the weekly draw online and the link is available on the club’s Facebook and Twitter, which finishes at 6pm every Saturday. Thank you for your continued support.

Hearty congratulations to the Limerick senior hurlers, manager John Kiely, captains Cian Lynch/Declan Hannon, our own Donal O’Grady, coach/selector, his brother Darragh, and the rest of the management team on their impressive 9 point, 0-30 to 2-15 victory over gallant Leinster champions Kilkenny at Croke Park on Sunday to capture their fifth All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship title and the Liam MacCarthy Cup in six seasons, their 12th overall and four in a row for the first time in the history of the competition, a record held only by two counties Cork in 1941, ’42, ’43 and ’44 and Kilkenny in 2006, ’07, ’08 and ’09 who lead the roll of honour with 36 titles. The win sees Limerick captain Cian Lynch become the first Patrickswell club man to lift the Liam MacCarthy and Limerick are also the only team to win the All Ireland Senior Hurling title in July, August and December. Peter Casey, Limerick and Na Piarsaigh who finished with 0-5 all from open play was named man of the match.

Granagh-Ballingarry players membership can still be renewed online at www.foireann.ie Any players not currently registered who incur injury will not be covered by GAA insurance and will have to cover all costs including medical and loss of earnings, so we ask all players to register as soon as possible. Adult members €40, students €25.

August County Club Draw:
The next Limerick County GAA Club draw is on this Saturday 29th July with a top prize of €10,000. There are a host of other prizes to be won. 2nd €3,000, 3rd €2,000, 4th €1,000, 5 exclusive star prize of a €500 voucher, 6th to 9th €500, 10th to 13th €300, 14th to 30th €200.
Granagh Ballingarry had approximately 117 members in the 3rd draw in June.
