The times, dates and venues for the opening round of the Limerick County Senior, Intermediate and Junior A hurling championships have been confirmed.
County Senior Hurling Championship Group 1 Round 1:
Thursday 28th July: Adare v Ahane in Claughaun at 7pm.
Saturday 30th July: Na Piarsaigh v Doon in Fitzgerald Park, Kilmallock at 7pm. Kilmallock v Patrickswell in Claughaun at 7pm.
County Senior Hurling Championship Group 2 Round 1:
Friday 29th July: Mungret/St. Paul’s v Kildimo/Pallaskenry in Clarina at 7pm.
Saturday 30th July: Ballybrown v Blackrock in Ballyagran at 7pm. Garryspillane v South Liberties in Doon at 7pm.
County Intermediate Hurling Championship Group 1 Round 1
Thursday 28th July: Croom v Caherline in Fedamore at 7pm.
Sunday 31st July: Murroe/Boher v Bruree in Hospital at 7pm.

LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN LIMERICK DO THREE IN A ROW
All Ireland Senior Hurling Championship final Limerick 1-31 Kilkenny 2-26. Hearty congratulations to the limerick senior hurlers manager John Kiely, Captain Declan Hannon and the rest of the management team on their thrilling 2 point 1-31 to 2-26 victory over gallant Leinster champions Kilkenny at sunny Croke Park on Sunday to capture their forth all Ireland title and the Liam McCarthy Cup in five seasons their 11th overall and three in a row for the first time in the history of the competition a record held only by Cork, Tipperary and Kilkenny. The win see’s Limerick winning captain 2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 Declan Hannon of Adare become the first captain to lift the Liam McCarthy Cup 4 times and Limerick also the team to win the All Ireland Senior Hurling championship title in July, August and December. Gearóid Hegarty, Limerick who finished with 15 all from open play was named man of the match.

MEMORIAL CUP FINAL
The final of the third annual Granagh-Ballingarry Jim Twin Lynch memorial cup hurling tournament final cancelled on Friday 15yh July for good reason and will be rescheduled for a date to be confirmed in the second week in August after the two open rounds of the County intermediate and Junior A Hurling championship.

The next Limerick County GAA clubs draw is on Saturday 30th July with a top prize of €10,000. €5,600 Jackpot on Saturday
There was no winner of the €5,500 jackpot in the Granagh/Ballingarry GAA Club lottery held on Saturday 16th July in McAulliffe’s Bar, Ballingarry. The numbers drawn were 3, 4, 29 and 30. The lucky dips of €20 each went to Esther O’Doherty, Cartledge promoter online Colm Noonan promoter The Rock Bar, Granagh, Paul Chawke promoter Eoin Kennedy, Seán Crosby promoter Paddy Hennessy. The next draw for a jackpot of €5,600 will be held on Saturday 23rd July in Buckley’s Bar, Ballingarry.
