Gerald Griffin’s Intermediate Football
Well done to the intermediate team who drew with Athea in a challenge game last Monday August 2nd. The final score was Gerald Griffin’s 0-17 to Athea 1-14.
They had another challenge game against Ballysteen on Sunday 8th in which Ballysteen won by a point. Griffin’s had a good first quarter and were leading by 2 points; by the end of the first half the score was 0-06 to 0-03 with Griffin’s still in the lead. Ballysteen scored a goal half way through the third quarter. The final score was Gerald Griffin’s 0-09 to 1-07 Ballysteen. Well done to the team on a good performance. The team on the day was as follows: Brian Scanlon, Gavin Fitzgerald, Diarmuid Noonan, Hugh O’Donnell, Connor O’Shaughnessy, Jim Liston, Brendan Stack, Colm McSweeney, Paul Brouder, Seán O’Connor, Dara Noonan, Adrian O’Sullivan, Donagh McEnery, Aidan Ryan, Conor Cregan. The intermediate football championship is starting this week with our intermediate team playing Glin on Saturday August 14th at 7.00 p.m. in Newcastle West. Best of luck to the team.

Junior Ladies League
Hard luck to the junior girls who put in a great performance last Thursday evening and were up against a very strong Drom/Broadfoard team. This was their final league game and now they are turning their attention to the championship which will be starting mid September.
Munster Minor Football Final
Best of luck to the Limerick minor footballers who play against Cork this Wednesday August 11th at Semple Stadium in the Munster Minor Football Championship final. Kick-off is at 7.30 p.m.
All-Ireland Hurling Semi-Final
Congratulations to the senior Limerick hurling team who won against Waterford in the All-Ireland Semi-Final. Best of luck to the team as they take on Cork in the All-Ireland Final August 22nd.
August Club Limerick Draw
