Gerald Griffin’s will play in the quarter final against Bruff. The match will take place in Feenagh on September Sunday 26th at 1.00p.m.
Gerald Griffin’s Ladies Team
On Friday night, the Junior ladies team took on Oola in the first round of the championship in Doon. The girls put up a very good performance and showed great fight throughout but unfortunately lost out on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-7. Their next game is fixed for Sunday Sept 26th against Monagea B. Keep an eye out on social media for venue and time details nearer the time.
Shannon Gaels
Shannon Gaels u15’s were defeated by Adare in the Quarter Final. We had a great game of football vs Adare tonight. We started well taking some good scores, however Adare scored 1-1 in quick succession before the first water break, an indication of how the game might pan out after that.
Shannon Gaels continued to play determined and skillful football right to the final whistle, however Adare won out in the end. Our boys never gave up and can be proud of their gutsy display in the game tonight and on other nights.
Thanks to all the players and parents for the effort and commitment throughout the season. We played at a higher level of football this year and the boys rose to the challenge. Well done boys and thanks from all the coaches Shane, Ger, Padraig and Dave.
Well done also to Shannon Gaels u/13’s who have reached the County Final in their group. They will play Caherconlish, venue and date to be confirmed. Please tune in to our social media pages for fixtures for this game.
