It was a game of two halves; the 1st half with Gerald Griffin’s playing against the hill, saw St Kieran’s dominating the game. They scored 2 goals and 8 points, with a very impressive performance, to Gerald Griffin’s at 2 points. After some adjustments on the team, Gerald Griffin’s came around in the 2nd half, starting with a great point from Michael Thornton from play, shortly followed by a point from Dara Noonan. Griffin’s showed great resilience in fighting back, scoring a total of 1 goal and 8 points in the second half to St Kieran’s at 2 points. Griffin’s were denied a goal by the upright from a great strike from Aidan Ryan (sub for MJ Ambrose). Overall a good 2nd half performance from Gerald Griffin’s with a solid team effort and lots of players getting game time. Aidan Ryan (1 pt), Ger Stack (2 pts) and Paul Brouder (1 pt) also contributed to the score line.
