Bon Secours County Senior Championship Round 1

14 Men The Bouncers came from behind in gale force conditions to share points with Murroe/Boher in the opening round of the Senior Hurling Championship.

Played in Caherconlish last Sunday afternoon 14th April in very windy conditions in front of a large attendance. From the off this was a tough physical battle with sturdy defences on both sides making the opposition earn anything they got. Murroe/Boher would argue that they had most of the ball in the first half when the Bouncers were battling the breeze, the Bouncers would have counted themselves extremely hard done by to go in at the break 4 points down.

Half-time score Murror/Boher 0-11 Garryspillane 1-04.

The Bouncers showed great fight in the second half and definitely had the better of the exchanges, just when it felt like they were making in-roads a few questionable decesions went against them. In and exciting conclusion both sides had a chance to win and they were nearly beaten too – so a draw was a fair outcome.

The final score Murror/Boher 0-18 Garryspillane 2-12 reflected the close nature of the contest.
