Garryspillane took the Title after a penalty decider
Our Premier Intermediate hurlers had a great win on Sunday in the TUS Gaelic Grounds. Our boys settled well and dominated the first half but missed a few opportunities for scores with some wayward shooting. We went in at half time up 2 points 2.06 to 10 points. Effin came out strong in the second half and had us on the back foot but our boys showed great Garryspillane spirit to hold in there. Hugh Flanagan scoring a long range free to take us to extra time. 2.14 each at the end of normal time. The first half of extra time went extremely well for Garryspillane with our boys dictating the play. We went in at half time in extra time 4.17 to 2.19 ahead. Effin again clawed us back in the second half of extra time to draw the game on a score line 4.19 to 2.25 Penalties were going to decide the County final. We scored our first three penalties and Adam Sheehan denied Effin their 3 penalties with outstanding saves. Garryspillane were victorious by the slightest of margins. Premier Intermediate County Champions 2025. Munster club now for our Boys with a quarter final against Tallow of Waterford in Fraher Field Dungarvan on November Saturday 1st November at 1.30pm.

2005 County Champs Get Together:
It’s 20 years ago since these boys brought the Daly Cup back to Garryspillane. October 16th 2005.We are planning a get together for the 2005 panel in the Welcome Inn on November 29th All Welcome.
