Con & Annie Kirby Memorial

The annual Con & Annie Kirby Memorial Stake commences next Saturday March 27th at the Limerick Greyhound Stadium. Sponsored by JP McManus & family, this event will unfortunately be run behind closed doors this year. Each GAA Club in Limerick will once more be assigned one of the 70 plus entered greyhounds and as they progress in the competition, so do the nominating club. For the various clubs it is a brilliant chance to share in a €20,000 prize-fund with an impressive €10,000 to the winning club. More details on this year’s event can be found on the Greyhound Ireland website ( including details on watching from home and various online competitions. Hopefully the 2015 heroics can be repeated for our club when Cable Bay nominated by Fr. Caseys stormed home to win the title. As the competition progresses we will keep you updated.
