County U20 Championship:
Fr. Caseys 3-06 Mungret 1-07
Fr.Caseys U20 Footballers started their championship campaign last Friday evening with a tricky opening tie against reigning County U20 champions Mungret in UL. Both sides traded early points before Fr. Caseys struck for goal on fifteen minutes. A second goal soon followed and although Mungret replied with two points before the break the Abbeyfeale men had a comfortable four point lead at half time.
A further 1-01 in the opening ten minutes of the second half put Fr. Caseys in the ascendancy. The sides traded points over the next ten minutes with the margin remaining at eight points as we entered the closing stages. A goal from Mungret gave them a glimmer of hope but after the Senior final disappointment five days previous, Fr. Caseys were not in a generous mood, kicking their six point of the evening to stretch the deficit to six points as were entered the final five minutes. Mungret kicked the last point of the day but it would not be enough. In the end Fr. Caseys won after a very commanding performance by 3-06 to 1-07. Fr. Caseys will play Oola in round two with two of four qualifying for the county semi-final. Well done to the players and management on the positive start to the campaign
Club Lotto Results:
Fr. Casey’s Club Lotto continued on Tuesday November 5th with a Jackpot of €23,000 up for grabs. The numbers drawn were 3, 18, 28 with the bonus ball 10. There was no Jackpot winner this week but we did have one Match 2 plus Bonus winner claiming €100. The draw continues next Tuesday with the Jackpot rising to €23,200.

How do you play? Simply select three numbers from 1 to 30 and one bonus number from 1 to 10. If all four chosen numbers appear the jackpot will be won or shared. A match three prize of €500 is also on offer and applies to the 1 to 30 number selection not including the bonus ball. In addition to this we also have a match 2 plus bonus and a host of lucky dip prizes up for grabs each week. The draw will run on a weekly basis, each Tuesday night at 9pm sharp.
