Senior County League Final:
Fr. Caseys 0-10 Newcastle West 0-08.
Fr. Caseys travelled to Feenagh last Friday evening looking to gain revenge on their neighbours after a painful penalty shoot-out defeat just three weeks earlier in the West Final. With the County League title this time on offer it was the Abbeyfeale men that drew first blood with a point after four minutes. Newcastle West soon levelled and although Fr. Caseys regained the lead twice more Newcastle were on hand to equalise on both occasions. Newcastle West found a purple patch on twenty minutes and took a two point lead but Fr. Caseys were back on level terms by the half time break. The half time score was 0-05 each.
Fr. Caseys made a blistering start to the third quarter kicking three points without reply to hold a commanding advantage for the first time. Newcastle West were never going to lie down easily and replied with three unanswered points to level the scores and leave a nail biting finish with five minutes on the watch. Having left the West title behind them in Athea our Seniors were not going home without silverware this time and kicked two points to lead 0-10 to 0-08 as full time approached. Four minutes of injury time was played but the Fr. Caseys defence stood firm to record a much deserved victory. Both silverware and bragging rights has been a long time in waiting and while both teams were short some key personnel this is a victory we will enjoy while waiting for the county championship to commence in the next fortnight. Well done to all involved on a fine win and long may the good times continue.
Club Lotto Results – June 11th:
Fr. Casey’s Club Lotto continued on Tuesday June 11th with a Jackpot of €18,800 up for grabs. The numbers drawn were 6, 25, 28 with the bonus ball 1. There was no Jackpot winner this week but we did have two Match 2 plus Bonus winners claiming €50 each. The draw continues next Tuesday with the Jackpot rising to €19,000.

How do you play? Simply select three numbers from 1 to 30 and one bonus number from 1 to 10. If all four chosen numbers appear the jackpot will be won or shared.
