Fr Casey’s GAA Club Notes:

Upcoming Fixtures:
West Intermediate Football League
Fr. Caseys vs Castlemahon – Thursday April 20th in Castlemahon at 7.00pm

West Senior Football League
Fr. Caseys vs St. Senans – Saturday April 22nd in Foynes at 3.00pm

West Intermediate Football League
Fr. Caseys 3-13 Athea 0-05

Our Intermediate Footballers made it two wins from two in the west intermediate league last Thursday night with another high scoring victory over Atheas Junior A team. This Thursday they will face a more formidable opponent when they travel to play Castlemahon. Hopefully the winning run continues and well done to all involved after a promising season start.

West Senior Football League
Fr. Caseys 1-14 Drom/Broadford 0-04

Our Senior Footballers claimed their first league points of the campaign with a commanding 13-point victory away to Drom/Broadford last Saturday evening. Having lost to Rathkeale in round one, our Seniors were much more clinical on this occasion and now face an away trip to Foynes this Saturday to play St. Senans and hopefully claim more valuable league points as they look to finish in the top two places in an eight team group.

Limerick GAA:
Best of Luck to the Limerick Senior Footballers especially Adrian Enright, Fiachra Cotter and Eoin Joy who face Clare next Saturday evening in the Gaelic Grounds with a place in the Munster Final up for grabs. Hopefully they can upset the odds and return to a provincial final like they did in 2022. A big performance will be needed but with the home crowd behind them victory is possible. On Sunday we will also be cheering our county hurlers as the reigning All-Ireland Champions travel to Thurles to face Waterford in their opening Munster Championship game.

On Monday night April 17th the Limerick U20 Footballers face Cork in the Munster Semi-Final in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. It will be a tough assignment to topple a fancied Cork team but we wish everyone involved the best of luck especially Diarmuid Buckley, Ronan Quirke and Marc Nolan

On Thursday evening the Limerick Minor Footballers travel to Miltown Malbay to play Clare in round two of the Munster championship. Having lost to Tipperary last week this team will be eager to get points on board and keep knockout hopes alive. We wish Cathal Woulfe, Ronan O’Connell and Adam Murphy the best of luck and also John Murphy as selector

This week the Limerick U20 and Minor Hurling teams both face Tipperary in away trips to Thurles in round four of their respective championship leagues. We wish both Adam Fitzgerald and Liam O’Connor the very best of luck as they both push for Munster Semi-Final places with three of five to qualify.
