Intermediate Hurling ¼ final
Last Sunday evening Feenagh was the venue for the local derby between Feohanagh and knockaderry. This was a well awaited clash and the prize was a place in the semi final of the county. Feohanagh started the better team and were dominate in the first 20 minutes. Seamus Flanagan opened the core for Feohanagh with a point from play. Knockaderry replied immediately but were unable to keep up with Feohanagh for the next 20 mins when Feohanagh racked up 1-9 with out reply. Frees from Seamus Flanagan and points from Mike Fitzgibbon gave Feohanagh the edge. A well worked passage of play into the forward line gave Seamus Flanagan the perfect opportunity to put the ball into the knockaderry net. Knockaderry picked up the pace before halftime and got 5 more points with A Roche finishing off the scores for Feohanagh in the first half. It was 1.11 to 6 points at half time. Knockaderrry came out a different team after the half time break and picked off 6 points with no reply from Feohanagh. Seamus Flanagan and J F Reidy got 2 scores when Feohanagh really needed them. Scores from S Flanagh and K Guina gave Feohanagh the cushion they needed and they won the game by a goal in the end and booked themselves a place in the semi final against Na Piarsaigh.
