Club Lotto
Last Monday night the club lotto was held in Quaid Park, Coolyroe. The jackpot was
€4,400 and there was no winner. The lotto numbers drawn were 11, 18, 22, 29
The lucky dip winners were Marie Meehan, Askeaton seller Gearoid Sexton, Thomas
Downey, Mayne Cross seller Thomas Downey, Patrick Lomasney, Feohanagh seller Patrick
Lomasney, Mary and Abbey Butler, Fanlehane seller Gerry Butler, Katie Begley , Kantoher
seller Mike King, Mark Liston, Castlemahon seller Mark Liston. The Christmas draw winner
was Pat and Annette Coughlan, Castlemahon seller Annette Coughlan. The promoters
prize winner was Noel O Mahony, Coolyroe.
Next weeks jackpot will be €4,500 and the draw will be held in Villlager Bar, Castlemahon.

anyone would like to purchase a lotto ticket they are available in the shops and from any

Feohanagh/Castlemahon GAA Club website is now up and running. The website address

happening in the club when the club is back up and running . We would like to know if
anyone has photos old and new, any articles or any type of relevant information that we

Club Information
Feohanagh/Castlemahon GAA club have recently set up a Whatsapp group which will send
out information on lotto updates, results and updates on matches and fixtures and other
notifications relating to the club. Please contact the club phone number 0863426599 if you
would like to be added to this group.
COVID – 19 update
Please see Facebook and other social media outlets regarding spectators returning to club
games. It is important to note that all spectators are responsible for themselves and that
they need to adhere to the HSE and GAA guidelines when entering a GAA grounds. The
capacity for a GAA game is 500 people. All volunteers, club officials and committee
members are to complete the elearning module and health questionnaire before returning
to club activities. Club gates are open for scheduled training sessions. Adult and Juvenile
club championships to commence in July. Inter county training to commence on 14th
September. Inter county calendar will commence from 17th October. The club will
communicate more details once they become available and all these dates are subject to
change. Please note that the field and its facilities are still closed to the public.
Elearning module
All players, coaches, parents, guardians, members of the club will have to do the elearning
module course before returning to club activity. You will be required to show the
certificate of completion to the covid supervisor before returning to the club. Please see

Health Questionnaire
Please note that everyone that will be involved in teams or in the club will have to fill out
the Health Questionnaire form or have it filled out for them before they return to any
activity in the club.
Dressing rooms
Please note that dressing rooms are not open at the moment so please come to the field
ready to play. Also please bring your own water bottle to training.

Limerick Development draw
The third CLUB Limerick Draw took place at the end of July.
If you would like to renew or update your membership, please follow the link
https://limerickgaa.ie/club-limerick-draw-signup/ and select Feohanagh/Castlemahon club
and the number of draws that you with to sign up for, (there are 8 draws
remaining). Feohanagh Castlemahon GAA is involved in the Limerick Development Draw
again for 2020. The entry into the draw is €100 for the year. This is €10 a month from June
2020 to January 2021. The third draw will take place at the end of July. We would like to
thank everyone that continues to support the draw. We really appreciate all your support.

prize this month is a two night stay in Parknasilla Resort and Spa in a parkland view room ,
a la carte dinner in the Pygmalion on one evening with a bottle of wine and a delicious full
irish breakfast each morning.
Field Committee
The field committee to look after the facilities at Quaid Park Coolyroe are as follows: Noel
O’Mahony, Mike O’Brien Jnr, Diarmuid Creedon, Jerry Noonan, Mike King, Des Roche,
Dave Cremin and John Lynch. If you need to book the field for any training or matches
please contact Noel O’Mahony on 087 9936497. Thanks to everyone in the field
committee and the club who have worked so hard over the last few weeks to get Quaid
Park Coolyroe in such order. There is a lot of work done with loads of other projects
underway.
Garda Vetting
All our coaches who will be involved with children up to the age of 18 years old have to be
Garda Vetted. It is an easy process to go through. Garda Vetting services are available to
any person over 16 fulfilling a role of responsibility with children. Consent from a
parent/Guardian shall be required for applicants between 16 & 18 years of age. If you
have any problem please contact our Child Welfare Officer Marie Field.
Limerick Draw
This draw has been postponed until Saturday 31st October 2020.

U16 Football Championship

Junior B Championship
Last Thursday evening Feohanagh played Dromcollogher in the Junior B Hurling
Championship. This was a must win for Feohanagh to keep them in the championship.
Feohanagh started well but hit a few wides, David Kirwan opened the scoreline for
Feohanagh. Feohanagh were missing a few players but the team hurled well in the first
half, with Jamie Butler scoring 5 points,. The scoreline was 6 points to 5 points at halftime. Drom started the better team in the second half getting the first four scores but
Jamie Butler evened the game with 4 points in a row. The game was a draw with
Dromcollogher dominating the game when Jamie Butler got a cracking goal from play.
Drom went down the other end and put the ball in the back of the Feohanagh net . The
game was a draw and in the last minute of the game when David Kirwan won a free and
Jamie Butler put the ball over the bar to win the game . Final score was Feohanagh 1.11
Dromcollogher 1.10.
Intermediate Hurling Championship
Last Saturday evening Feohanagh played Pallasgreen in the Intermediate Hurling
Championship. Feohanagh got off to a great start with all players dominating their
positions and Seamus Flanaghan picked off 4 points. There was great passages of play
with two great balls sent into the forward line from Seamus Flanagan with Michael
Fitzgibbon and Kieran Guina punishing Pallasgreen by putting the balls into the back of the
net both times. Before the waterbreak Feohanagh had scored 2-4. Another goal and a
point from Michael Fitzgibbon gave Feohanagh a good lead at half time. Pallasgreen came
into the game for a while but Feohanagh were in no doubt that they were taking the
points from this match. In the second half Sean Flanagan pipped over 3 points from play,
Kieran Guina got his second goal and Michael Fitzgibbon got 2 more points to add to his
tally. It was a great team performance with Feohanagh dominating the game from the
start. JF Reidy finished off the game with a point. The team will have a break from hurling
for 3 weeks and will be out again on 4th September.
