East GAA Committee Notes:
East Limerick Gaels 2025 awards in association with St Ailbe’s Credit Union took place on Friday evening 2nd January in the Millennium Centre Caherconlish.
This was the 22nd year of the awards and it has grown in strength since 2003.
The awards event was very well supported with a large attendance gathered from all the East Limerick clubs and wider Limerick GAA community.
MC on the evening was Matt O’ Callaghan who is well known in Limerick GAA circles and in the media and delivered a very professional and personal informative piece on all of the awards winners.
Ger Lonergan Chairperson on the East Board opened the awards night and we had speech from Limerick County Board Chairperson Seamus McNamara .
Music on the evening came from the very Talented Marie Therese Tierney.
Thanks to the Millennium centre for hosting and catering the event.

On the evening the following recipients were unfortunately unable to attend.

Michael Quirke award accepted by Danny Beary..
Sadly in February 2025 Eddie Wade passed away.
Eddie was a founding member and huge driver in making the awards the success they are now.
In his honour the hall of fame is now named after Eddie and the first recipient is Mary Fitzgerald.
On the evening a special presentation was made to both Eddie sisters Breda Flood and Rita Hogan and good Friends John Cooney and Seamus Walsh of a commenrate East medal.
East Limerick Gaels would like to thank JJ Kennallys for there work on these medals.
On behalf of the East Limerick Gaels committee we would like to thank all for supporting on the night to make it a great success.
There is a great sense of community in East Limerick and this was very evident on the evening.
