Limerick East Board express sympathies to the Family and Friends of East Board President Eddie Wade who sadly passed away on the 15th February.
Eddie had a very distinguished life, Limerick County Councillor for over 35 years, Elected to Dail Eireann as TD in 1997 to 2002, Vice Chairman of the Limerick County Board and served his club South Liberties as an official.
Eddie been involved with the East Board for over 40 years and held all positions, He was elected to President of the East Board and in November Eddie spoke at our AGM during which he told us he had attended every AGM since 1964.
In December the East Limerick Gaels awards took place and it celebrated its 21st year founded in 2003, Eddie was one of the founding members and in 2022 Eddie was presented with the Hall of Fame award.
Eddie will be sadly missed by all. May he rest in peace.
