East GAA Committee Notes:

Brian Butler:
Congratulations to Doon who defeated Caherline last Thursday evening in the Brian Butler cup final winning on a full time score of 2-24 to 1-14.
Thanks to Cappamore GAA for the use of the field and to Referee Tom McGlinchey and his officals. Ger Longeran East Board Chairperson presented the cup to Doon Captain Diarmuid Cummins. Diarmuid was also named player of the match and was presented the voucher by Sean Mckenna assistant Secretary. Thanks to the The Old Quarter Limerick for the sponsorship of the player of the match award. East Board thanks all the clubs for entering this year Brian Butler Cup.

U14s Academy:
The U14s Divisional academy over the past 2 weekends took part in a hurling and football blitz take place. Saturday 6th July Hurling blitz took place in Bruff GAA Field and the East team played against the South, City and West players were as follows, Oran Barry, Rhys Lynch, Cian Murphy, Shane Duggan, Philip Power, Patrick Longeran, Conor O Carroll, Sonny Ryan, Aaron O Brien, Paddy O’Dwyer, Daniel Lane, Tony Malone, Liam O’ Brien, Michael Humphreys, Julian Quinn, Sam Walsh. Saturday 13th July Football Blitz took place in Croom and the East team played the South and the West players that took part are as follows, James Foley, Michael O Brien, Michael Humphreys, Philip Power, Cian Murphy, Richie Coffey, Conor O’ Carroll, Aaron O’ Brien, Daniel Lane, Jack O’Dwyer, Julian Quinn, Patrick Longeran.
