Club Lotto
There were no winners in this week’s Club Lotto with a Jackpot of €8,550. Numbers drawn were 1, 13, 22, 23. Lucky Dip winners were Sinead Ryan €40, Jimmy Guiney €20 and Fr Howard €20. Next week’s Jackpot will be €8,600 and entering couldn’t be easier on Club Zapp or by contacting any committee member.
Fixtures and Results
Last Sunday our Premier Intermediate Hurlers played Glenroe in the 3rd round of the Lyons Of Limerick County Championship. After the euphoric win against neighbours Bruff in Round 2, there was an air of excitement facing Glenroe. Dromin Athlacca got of to a great start and following a superb pass from Paul Neenan, Adam Costello found the net in the first quarter. The “Bosses” were back! The skill dislayed by the boys in blue continued right throughout the first half with some superb scores from David Reidy, David Breen, James Kelleher and Mike Reidy. With a score of 1.8 to 5 points it looked like the semi-final was close. This however, was undoubtedly a game of two halves. A penalty for Glenroe gave them a boost in confidence which continued throughout the second half. Efforts made by the young Dromin Athlacca Team were unsuccessful in getting them the finish they had hoped for. Final Score Dromin Athlacca 1.09 Glenroe 2.13 means that Dromin Athlacca will have to wait until 2022 to stake their claim on the title of Premier Intermediate County Champions. The committee would like to thank the management and all involved in this year’s competition for their hard work and commitment. We look forward to next year’s competition.
