DROMIN-ATHLACCA GAA CLUB NOTES

Limerick Senior Hurlers had a fantastic victory over Cork last weekend in the Allianz Hurling League with a scoreline of 0:33 to 2:19. This is enough to whet our appetite before we face Cork
again in the Championship next month. Meanwhile, the Allianz Hurling League continues, andLimerick will face Westmeath in the next outing on June 13th and we wish them well.
COVID Update
The Irish Government confirmed further relaxation of COVID 19 restrictions which will take affect from Monday June 7th. From this date, competitive and challenge games at all levels of club and
inter county are permitted to take place. However, it is essential that we proceed with caution and that the Return to Play protocols continue to be adhered to. In terms of attendance, 100
spectators will be permitted to attend GAA games (Club and Intercounty) from Monday June 7th.
This number is in addition to players, team personnel, stewards and media attendees. Where a ground has a capacity of 5,000, then a maximum of 200 spectators can attend. It is likely that from
July 5th, up to 200 spectators may be permitted to attend games. While up to 500 may be permitted in grounds with a minimum capacity of 5,000. This will depend on progress in broader
society. Dressing rooms, however, will remain closed to reduce the number of close contacts.

Inaugural Ann Kenny Road Hurling Tournament.
Due to the increase in COVID 19 cases in County Limerick and some local schools, it was agreed that in the interest of safety, the Ann Kenny Road Hurling Tournament should be postponed. This
was not an easy decision, as there was huge interest in this event in an effort to reconnect the Club with the local community while also commemorating the memory of a local legend. Thank you to
all who had registered and we look forward to hosting this event in the near future.
Sympathies
Dromin Athlacca GAA Club wish to express sincere sympathies to player David Mullins on the death of his father Michael. Our thoughts this week are with his wife Joan and sons
David and George along with all the Mullins Family. Michael was devoted to this club during his lifetime and was always a tremendous supporter at every opportunity.
