New Club Gear
Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA are delighted to have teamed up with Cobi Sports to launch our club gear range for 2022. This is once off opportunity. Cobi Sports have set-up an online shop for placing orders please note this the only way to order the gear, you cannot come to the club directly to order it. The website is live now and will remain open until this coming Friday October 15th. All orders will be delivered to and distributed by the club. Orders will arrive early in December. This was a very tight match between two evenly matched teams with our goal coming from Michael O’Sullivan and the points came from Derry McCarthy 9 points 4 frees, Keith Lacey and Shane Murphy 2 points each, Michael O’Sullivan and Jack Pierce a point each and the table read after five rounds of hurling is as follows: Ballybricken/ Bohermore and Caherline on 8 points each, Crecora/ Manister 6 points, Templeglantine 4 points, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3 points, Old Christians 1 point, with Ballybricken/ Bohermore and Caherline qualifying for the Quarter Finals and Old Christians going into the Regulation Semi-Finals. The above club would like to thank the management team of Adrian Cahill, Colm Meaney and James Noonan Backroom Team of Jimmy Lacey, Marie Lacey, Maurice Browne, Secretary Eoin Barry PRO Gareth Meaney, Stats Pat Noonan and the panel of players led by Kevin Noonan captain.
Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points coming from Derry McCarthy and Keith Lacey and then Ross Healy replied with a point for Old Christians. Shane Murphy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to leave two points between the sides and then Old Christians replied with two points and these points came from Ross Healy and Conor Madden to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game. Derry McCarthy scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us back the lead and then Ross Healy scored the first and only of the game for Old Christians to give them a lead of two points.
Derry McCarthy scored the next pointed free of the game to leave a point between the sides at the water break and then Kevin Howard scored the next two points for Old Christians to give them a lead of three points. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 1-3 of the game with the goal coming from Michael O’Sullivan and the points came from Shane Murphy, Keith Lacey, and Jack Pierce to give us lead of three points and then Conor Madden scored the next pointed free for Old Christians just before the break to leave two points between the sides at end of the half. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-8 to Old Christians 1-6.
Old Christians scored the next first two points of the second half to bring sides back on level terms for second time during the game and these points came from Conor Madden and Darragh Long and then Derry McCarthy scored the next two points for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us lead of two points. Kevin Howard scored the next point of the game for Old Christians to leave a point between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points of the game to lead by five points and two of these coming from Derry McCarthy and the other point coming from Michael O’Sullivan. Old Christians scored the next two points both coming from Evan Walsh to leave three points between the sides and then Micheál Brosnan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to put four points between the sides. Old Christians scored the next two points coming from Kevin Howard and Evan Walsh to leave three points between the sides and then Derry McCarthy scored next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave four points between the sides. Old Christians scored the last four points of the game all coming from Evan Walsh to bring sides back on level terms for third and final time during the game. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-16 to Old Christians 1-16.

This was a give between two evenly matched teams with Bangoue better team on the night with our goal coming from Adam Cotter in the first half of the game and the above club would like to the Management team of Jason Stokes and Eoin Barry and the backroom team of Jim Barry, Jimmy Lacey and Adrian Cahill and the PRO Gareth Meaney and the panel of players led by Pat Curtin (Captain) for their effort during the year gone by.
Adam Cotter scored the first goal and only game of the game for Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 4 minutes gone in the game and then Adam Hanley of Banogue and Micheál Fahy exchanged pointed frees to leave a goal between the sides. Banogue scored the next two points of the game, and these points came from Kieran Costello and Conor Hanley to leave a point between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points coming from Micheál Fahy and Leon Madigan to leave a goal between the sides once again. Banogue scored the next 1-3 of the game with goal and two points coming from Adam Hanley and the other point came from Jack Fitzgibbon to give them a lead of three points and then Micheál Fahy scored the pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave two points between the sides. Adam Hanley scored the next goal of the game to give them the lead of five points at the break. To leave the score at half-time Banogue 2-6 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-4.
Banogue scored the 1-1 of the game with point coming from Adam Hanley and the goal coming from Diarmuid Enright to leave nine points between the sides and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last three points of the game with two of these coming from Micheál Fahy both from frees and the other from Pat Curtin to leave two goals between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Banogue 3-7 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-7.

The following are the Results of the Lotto Draw that took place on the 11-10-2021, and the numbers were: 12, 14, 21, 32. There was no winner of Jackpot at €3,500 and there was one winner of match three at €100 and that was: David Noonan, London and the Lucky Dips at €50 each were: Brian Downes, Dromcollogher and Coireall MacCurtáin, Béal an Átha and next week’s draw will take place on this coming Monday 18-10-21, in the GAA Field, Dromcollogher and the Jackpot will be going up to €3,600 and the Match Three will be staying at €100.
Lotto tickets are available in local shops in the area where the boxes are provided and available for sale in the local square on Friday and Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm.
New Defibrillator and Defibrillator Training
On behalf of Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA we would like to thank everyone that contributed to our fundraiser to purchase our new defibrillator and heated storage box. We now have a new LIFEPAK CR2 Defibrillator stored in a heated Defibstore 4000 Polycarbonate box, and it is positioned on the front wall of our clubhouse. Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA would like to train all our community in how to use the defibrillator, especially given what has happened in recent times. We think everyone should avail of this opportunity.
