Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-09
This was a game of two halves with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading by two points on a scoreline of 1-6 to 2-2, with our goal coming from Shane Murphy and then in the second half Caherline outscored by 2-9 to 0-3 to win by 11 points on the day and table going in the last round reads: Ballybricken/ Bohermore 8 points, Caherline and Crecora/ Minister both on 6 points, Templeglantine 4 points, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points and Old Christians no points and our last fixture in the group stages is against Old Christians, on this coming Saturday October 9th, in Croagh, at 3pm referee Donal Neville (Croagh/ Kilfinny). Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points coming from Derry McCarthy and Damien Burke and then Caherline scored their first goal of the game coming from Jake Kennedy to leave a point between the sides. Derry McCarthy scored the next pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides back on level terms for the first time during the game and then Padraic Wixted scored the next point for Caherline to give them back the lead by a point. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points and these points came from Damien Burke and Derry McCarthy and Jack Carroll of Caherline scored the last point before the break to bring the sides on level terms for the third time during the game. Shane Murphy scored the next point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to give us back the lead by a point and then Caherline scored their second goal of the game to give a lead of two points and this came from James Kennedy and then Shane Murphy scored first and only goal of the game to give us back the lead by a point just before the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-6 to Caherline 2-2.
Caherline scored the 2-3 of the second half without reply with the goals coming from Jake Kennedy and Jack Carroll and all the points coming from Andrew Brennan to give a lead of of four points and then Keith Lacey of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next two points to leave two points between the sides. Padraic Wixted of Caherline and Derry McCarthy exchanged points and then Caherline scored the last four points of the game to win by 11 points and these points came from Andrew Brennan and James Kennedy 2 points each. To leave the scoreline at full-time Caherline 4-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-09.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club Lotto Draw
The following are the Results of the Lotto Draw that took place on the 04-10-2021, and the numbers were: 6, 11, 15, 29. There was no winner of Jackpot at €3,400 and there was one winner of match three at €100 and that was: Timmy O’Carroll, Australia and the Lucky Dips at €50 each were: James Noonan, Dromcollogher, and Anne Marie O’Keeffe and next week’s draw will take place Monday 11-10-21, in the GAA Field, Dromcollogher and the Jackpot will be going up to €3,500 and the Match Three will be staying at €100.
Lotto tickets are available in local shops in the area where the boxes are provided and available for sale in the local square on Friday and Saturday mornings from 9am to 1pm.
New Defibrillator and Defibrillator Training
On behalf of Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA we would like to thank everyone that contributed to our fundraiser to purchase our new defibrillator and heated storage box. We now have a new LIFEPAK CR2 Defibrillator stored in a heated Defibstore 4000 Polycarbonate box, and it is positioned on the front wall of our clubhouse. Dromcollogher/Broadford GAA would like to train all our community in how to use the defibrillator, especially given what has happened in recent times. We think everyone should avail of this opportunity.
