This was a one-sided game with two goals from Newcastle West both coming from Eoin Hurley both in the first half of the game and the goal for Dromcollogher/ Broadford was well worked coming from Brian Ahern and we move onto our final group game this coming Sunday August 23rd, in Newcastle West, at 2pm, against Ballysteen, Referee Richard Moloney (Bruff).
Newcastle West scored the first two points of the game and then Jack Pierce replied with a point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave a point between the sides. Newcastle West scored the next point of the game to lead by two points and then Brian Aherne scored a point coming from play to leave a point between the sides once again. Newcastle West scored their first goal of the game coming from Eoin Hurley with 25 minutes gone in the game and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford made an instant replay with a well worked team effort leading to the ball being finished to the back of the Newcastle West net by Brian Ahern to leave two points between the sides again. Newcastle West responded with their second goal of the game coming from Eoin Hurley again in the 29th minute of the game to lead by five points and then Newcastle West scored anther point before the break to lead by six points at the break. To leave the score at half-time Newcastle West 2-5 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-2.
Newcastle West scored the next three points to lead by nine points and then Brian Aherne scored first and only point of the second half coming from a free. Newcastle West scored the last four points of the game to win by 12 points. To leave the score at full-time Newcastle West 2-12 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-03.

County Junior B Football Championship Group 3 Round 1
We were well defeated by Kilteely/ Dromkeen on a scoreline of 6-16 to 0-4 with our two scores in the game we Liam McGraynor and Micheál Reidy both scoring two points each and our game is against Ahane on Friday August 28th, in Ballingarry, at 6.30pm and our game against Crecora/ Mainster on Sunday August 30th, in Ballingarry, at 1pm.

County Minor B Hurling Championship Group 2 Round 2
Our Minor Hurlers had a great win over Granagh/ Ballingarry in second game of the group played down in Dromcollogher on a scoreline of 1-10 to 0-09, we wait and see what happens between Granagh/ Ballingarry and Croagh/ Kilfinny/ Rathkeale on next Friday night to see if we have qualified, in Ballingarry, at 7pm.
U12 Football Notes
On Thursday night last our footballers played their first league game in 2020. We travelled to Askeaton to take on Askeaton / Ballysteen/ Kilcolman. Our boys really settled into the game early with getting a few good scores, Askeaton/ Balllysteen/ Kilcolman came into the game before halftime to leave the score level at the break. When the second half commenced both teams played extremely well but the Dromcollogher/ Broadford boys worked that little bit harder with some nice moves up the field. When the final whistle was blown Dromcollogher/ Broadford emerged winners on a scoreline of 3-10 to 3-02. The panel was as follows. D. O’
