This was a very tight game with our goal coming from James Molyneaux in the first half of the game, we lead at break 1-6 to 0-5, in the second half Newcastle West scored 1-3 to our four points. This is was our first win in the league, the table after this round stands as follows, Dromcollogher/ Broadford, Adare, Galbally and Ballysteen all on 2 points, Newcastle West, St. Kieran’s, Monaleen and Na Pairsaigh all on no points, our game in the league is against St. Kieran’s, on this coming Saturday March 14th, in Coolcappa, referee Michael Woulfe (Patrickswell).

Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first 1-3 of the game with the goal coming from James Molyneaux with 6 minutes after wonderful catch of the ball from Michael O’Sullivan and he then handpassed the ball to James Molyneux and then James Molyneaux put the ball in the back of Newcastle West net and our three points came from Denis Donegan, Derry McCarthy and James Molyneaux and then Newcastle West replied with next three points to leave four points between the sides. Derry McCarthy scored his second point of the game coming from pointed free for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five points between the sides and then Newcastle West scored the next three points to leave two points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last two points of the half coming from Derry McCarthy and Keith Lacey to leave four points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-6 to Newcastle West 0-5.

Newcastle West scored the first point of the second half to leave three points between the sides and then Niall O’Brien scored a point from Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave four points between the sides once again. Newcastle West scored the next point to leave three points between the sides and then Derry McCarthy scored the two points for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave five points between. Damien Burke of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored a brilliant point for Dromcollogher/ Broadford to leave six points between the sides and next Newcastle West scored the next 1-1 of the game to leave 2 points between the sides at end of the game. To leave the score at full-time Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-10 to Newcastle West 1-08.

Results of the 379th draw took place on March 9th, in Foley’s Bar, Broadford and the numbers drawn were: 17, 27, 28, 32 there was no winner of the jackpot was at €9,000 and there was one winner of match three at €100 and that was: Coireall MacCurtáin, Beal an Atha and the two lucky dips of €50 each were: Kevin McGill, Dromcollogher and Timmy Stokes, Broadford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday March 16th, in The Green Bar, Dromcollogher and the Jackpot will be at €9,100 and the match three will be at €100. Tickets are available from any committee member or any promoter at €2 each or 3 for €5.
