ALL ROADS LEAD TO KILMALLOCK!!!

FOR THE U21 B FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP SEMI-FINAL AGAINST CRECORA/ MAINSTER, ON THIS COMING SUNDAY DECEMBER 15TH, IN KILMALLOCK, AT 12 NOON, REFEREE TIMMY MCGRATH, (WITH EXTRA-TIME IF NECESSARY). PLEASE SUPPORT OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM LED BY KEVIN NOONAN AND OUR PANEL OF PLAYERS LED BY MICHAEL RYAN CAPTAIN.

On our way to the County Championship Semi-Final, in the West Group Stages we lost to Shannon Gaels on a scoreline of 2-9 to 0-9, we did not play Granagh/ Ballingarry due to two funerals in our club on two weekends in a row and then we defeated Athea in the B Semi-Final on a scoreline of 2-10 to 2-02 and then in the final we defeated Clan an nGael on a scoreline 1-11 to 1-08.

County Junior B Football Champions 1992

We had a night for our County Junior B Football Champions from 1992, our MC for the night was Matt O’Callaghan of the Weekly Observer/ Vale Star and our special guest on the night was Mickey Harte current manager of Tyrone Senior Footballers, at first there was panel discussion between the three members of the Limerick County U21 Footballers back in 2000 when Limerick met Tyrone in the All-Ireland which Tyrone won on the day and our three players on the panel were: Tommy Stack, Jason Stokes and Neil Conway. The awards were given to the panel of players on the night and the selectors of the team and the panel was were as follows: Eamonn Scollard, Pat Kiely, Timmy Mullane, Tommy Mullane, Maurice McCarthy (Captain), Mickey O’Connor, Adrian Insley, John Sheehy, John Brudair, Liam Reidy, Gerard Lenihan, Denis Scollard, Kieran Sheehan, Marty Stokes, Niall Fitzpatrick (RIO), Donnach McCarthy, Eugene Nunan, Kieran Ryan and Tomás Reidy and selectors were: Maurice McCarthy, Denis Law Noonan (RIP) and Mike Fahy. Matt conducted interviews with Maurice McCarthy, Eamonn Scollard and John Brudair and then Matt did one on one interview with Mickey Harte and then a very end of the night Matt O’Callaghan got a piece of crystal presented to him by Mickey Harte and club members Jimmy Lacey and Eoin Barry and also Mickey Harte was presented a piece of Irish Dresden presented to him by club officers Geraldine O’Sullivan and Gareth Meaney and a great night was by all who attended the event.

Dromcollogher/ Broadford Race Night

The Annual Race Night of Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club will take place on Saturday December 28th, in Neenan’s Bar, Broadford, time to be confirmed, promoters will be calling to your door over the couple of weeks, €20 per Jockey, owner and Trainer and €50 for a full horse. Please Support your local GAA Club.

The Annual General Meeting of Dromcollogher/ Broadford GAA Club will take place on this coming Friday December 13th, in the GAA Clubhouse, Dromcollogher, at 8pm sharp, please attend this very important meeting and everybody is welcome.
