St. Patricks 2-09 Dromcollogher/Broadford 1-11
This was a very tight game with Dromcollogher/ Broadford leading by 0-7 to 0-6 at the break and then in the second half St. Patrick scored 2-7 with the goals coming from Keelan Stephenson and Shane Cross to our 1-4 with our goal coming from Sean O’Sullivan. This result makes us safe for this year and puts St. Patrick’s and Askeaton/ Ballysteen/ Kilcornan go into the Quarter Finals and Cappagh go into Semi-Finals and puts Claughaun and Glin into Regulation Semi-Finals. After five rounds the table reads as follows: Cappagh 8 points + 26, Askeaton Ballysteen/ Kilcornan 8 points +38, St. Patrick’s 7 points -2, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 4 points +1, Claughaun 3 points -11, Glin no points -74. Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game both coming from frees and then Josh McCarthy of St. Patrick’s scored the next point to leave a point between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points to leave four points, and these points came from James Molyneaux, Kevin Noonan, Cillian Fahy and then Gearóid Hegarthy of St. Patrick’s scored the next point to leave three points between the sides. This was a very one-sided game with Dromcollogher/ Broadford winning out winners on the day, played in very good conditions, in Martinstown, on Saturday last. At the break the score read 3-5 to 1-2 with two of the goals coming from Tieran O’Flynn and the other goal coming from Brendan Meehan and then in the second half we scored 3-3 to 1-5 with our goals coming from Ollie Stokes penalty, Sean O’Flynn, Liam Wright to book our place in the final against the winners of Kildimo/ Pallasgeen and Ballybricken/ Boheramore/ Croom, More details later, referee to be announced. Pallasgreen scored the first goal of the game with two minutes gone in the game and then Tieran O’Flynn replied with goal with five minutes gone in the game to bring the sides back on level terms for the first time during the games. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next 2-4 without reply from Pallasgreen with goals coming from Brendan Meehan and Tieran O’Flynn and the three of the points coming from Ollie Stokes and the other point came from Daniel John Cussen to lead by ten points with 18 minutes gone in the game and then Pallasgreen scored the next two points to leave eight points between the sides. Micheal O’Kelly scored the last point of the half to leave nine points between the sides at the break. To leave the score at half-time Dromcollogher/Broadford 3-5 to Pallasgreen 1-2. We received a walkover from Kilmallock, on Sunday last, at this stage of the competition Kilmallock had already given two walkovers already before last Sunday last, so they withdraw from the competition. After five rounds the table reads as follows: Patrickswell 8 points +23, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 6 points +18, Ballincurra Gaels 2 points -8, St. Senan’s 2 points -37, Kilmallock 2 points (withdrawn). The following are the results of the lotto draw that took place on the 13-10-25, and the numbers drawn were: 2, 6, 7, 12 There was no winner of the Jackpot at €6,500 and there was five winners of match three at €100 and they each got €20 and they were: Martin Fahy, Paddy Stack, Gerard Noonan, Carraward Heights, Dromcollogher, Marcella Moloney, Mary Burton and the two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Katie Fitzgibbon and Mary Casey and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday October 20th, in the GAA Grounds, Dromcollogher, at 9.30pm Sharp and the Jackpot is going up €6,600 and match three is staying at €100.
