This was a very tight game with Doon been slightly better team on the night with goal for Doon coming from Cathal Hayes in the first half of the game with our goal coming from Brian O’Callaghan in the second half of the game, this game was played down in Bruff, on last Saturday night after three rounds the table reads as follows Knockaderry 6 points + 34, Caherline 4 points -1, Doon 4 points -11, Kilmallock 3 points -12, Kilteely/ Dromkeen 1 point -16, Dromcollogher/ Broadford no points – 16. All County Minor C Hurling Championship Semi-Final:
Knockaderry 3-08 Dromcollogher/Broadford 1-11
This was a very tight game with Knockaderry been slightly better team on the day with our goal coming from coming from Ollie Stokes in the second half of the game. The above the club would like to thank the panel of players led by Adam O’Kelly captain for today’s game and the captain of the rest of the games was Ollie Brudair and the management team of: John O’Dell, Brian Stack and Jack Pierce.
Adam O’Kelly of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the first point of the game and then Knockaderry scored the next 1-3 of the game with 10 minutes gone in the game to leave five points between the sides. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next five points to bring sides back on level terms for the second time during the game with four of these points coming from John Lenihan and the other point coming from Adam O’Kelly and then Knockaderry scored the last goal of the game just before the break to leave three points between the sides back the sides at end of the half. Knockaderry 2-3 to Dromcollogher/Broadford 0-6.
Knockaderry scored the first two points of the second half to lead by five points and then John Lenihan of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next two points to leave three points between the sides and then Knockaderry scored their third goal of the game to leave six points between the sides with 41 minutes gone in the game. This was a game of two halves with St. Kierans leading by 1-3 to 0-2 and then in the second half St. Kieran’s outscored by 2-6 to 0-4. The table after six round as follows: St. Kieran’s 8 points +63, Beville Gaels 4 points +14, Mungret/ St. Paul’s 4 points -6, South Liberties 4 points -23, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points -12, Shannon Gaels, Ballybricken/ Boheramore/ Fedamore and Ahane have all withdrawn from the group.
