County Intermediate Football Championship Group 1 Round 2
Cappagh 2-11 Dromcollogher/Broadford 1-08
This was a very tight game played down in Newcastle West on Thursday last, with both goals for Cappagh coming from Séamus O’Carroll and our goal coming from Micheál Fahy in the second half of the game and the table after the second round as follows: Askeaton/ Ballysteen/ Kilcornan 4 points + 15, Cappagh 4 points + 8, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points +13, St. Patrick’s 2 points + 5, Claughaun no points -4, Glin no points -27. Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the first two points of the game coming from Micheál Fahy and Kevin Noonan and then Cappagh scored the next three points, and these points came from James Lanigan, Cian O’Carroll and Séamus O’Carroll to lead by a point for first time during the game.  Micheál Fahy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford to bring sides on back level terms for the second time during the game and then Séamus O’Carroll of Cappagh scored the first two pointers of the game to lead by two points.  Tommy Ryan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next point of the game to leave a point between the sides and then Cappagh scored the next 1-2 of the to lead by six points at the break with 1-1 coming from Séamus O’Carroll and the other point coming from Cian Costello. To leave the score at half-time Cappagh 1-7 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 0-4.
Cian O’Carroll of Cappagh and Kevin Noonan of Dromcollogher exchanged points to leave six points between the sides once again. Micheál Fahy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford with 33 minutes gone in the game scored our first goal of the game after a pass coming from Jack Pierce to leave three points between and then Séamus O’Carroll to lead four points.  Micheál Fahy of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored our first two pointer to leave two points between the sides and then Cappagh scored the next 1-2 of the goal with 1-1 coming from Séamus O’Carroll with 50 minutes gone in the game with, in the game with other point coming from Cian O’Carroll to leave seven points between.  Micheál Brosnan of Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the last point of the game to leave six points between the sides at end of the game.  To leave the score at full-time Cappagh 2-11 to Dromcollogher/ Broadford 1-08.

This was a very tight game with Kildimo/ Pallaskenry winning the game by four points on last Monday night played down in Kildimo with five rounds played the table reads as follows: Kildimo/ Pallaskenry 10 points +30, Patrickswell 4 points +8, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 3 points + 2, Hospital/ Herbertstown 3 points -12, Pallasgreen 2 points -10, Bruff 2 points -14, Doon 2 points -20. U14 All County Hurling Championship Division 3B Round 7:
Mungret/St. Pauls 3-9 Dromcollogher/Broadford 1-9
This was a very tight game we lost by six points on the night this was our last game in the group stages played down in Dromcollogher on last Thursday night the final rounds the final reads as follows: Dromin/ Athlacca 10 points +47, St. Kieran’s 6 points +35, Beville Gaels 6 points -17, Killacolla Gaels 3 points -8, Mungret/ St. Paul’s 3 points -23, Dromcollogher/ Broadford 2 points -30, Southside Gaels withdrawn from the competition. The above would like to thank the management and players for their effort during the year gone by.

The following are the results of the lotto draw that took place on the 18-08-25, and the numbers drawn were: 5, 12, 27, 31 There was no winner of the Jackpot at €5,700 and there was also no winner of the match three at €100 and the two lucky dips of €50 each and they were: Carmel Leahy, Dromcollogher and Pauline Begley, Broadford and the next draw will take place on this coming Monday August 25th in the GAA Grounds, Dromcollogher at 9.30pmSharp and the Jackpot is going to up €5,800 and match is staying at €100.
