This was a very tight game with Ahane been slighter better team on the day winning by four points, our goals on the day both came from Alan Power one from play in the first half and the other from penalty in the second half of the game and the table after three rounds reads as follows: Shannon Gaels/ Athea 4 points +15, Na Pairsaigh 2 points – 2, Dromcollogher/Broadford 2 points -4, ABK Desmonds 2 points -4, Ahane 2 points -5, Killacolla Gaels (withdrawn). Ahane scored the first 1-2 of the game to lead by five points with goal coming fourth minute of the game and then a great team goal from Dromcollogher/Broadford and after kick out from the goalkeeper Naoise O’Connor and it was caught by Brian O’Callaghan and he passed kick passed a lovely ball to Alan Power, who passed the ball to back of Ahanes net to put two points between the sides with 10 minutes gone in the game. Ahane scored the next three points to lead by five points and then Alan Power of Dromcollogher/Broadford scored the next point to leave four points between the sides. Ahane scored the next point to lead by five points and then Dromcollogher/ Broadford scored the next three points, and these points came from Alan Power (free), Tommy Ryan and Brian O’Callaghan to leave two points between the sides.
